Toaster ovens used to be just an oven-shaped toaster, and they are a convenient piece of appliance to toast the toppings together with the bread. Nowadays it seems that things have got out of hand with the designers, and toaster ovens are more and more like mini ovens, and can be used for practically anything. Now, is that good or bad? 
But the other question is, what with convection and rotisserie and bells and whistles, how are we supposed to choose the best toaster oven?
How to Choose the Best Toaster Oven
Okay, I’ll admit that I’m not exactly an expert, and I have stumbled across quite a few unsuitable toaster ovens before finding a way to shop for the best toaster oven.
These are the things you must bear in mind when you buy a toaster oven:

- Capacity
- Safety
- Easy to clean
- Cooking method
- Features
- Price range

One thing you have to decide is what you will use the toaster oven for. You might need convection for roasting or broiling, or you might not because you just toast bread or reheat pizzas.
My first toaster oven was a simple and tiny one for toasting 4 slices of bread, and at most I would make garlic toast or tuna toast. But since then I’ve advanced to using toaster ovens to bake cookies and muffins, make my own pizzas from scratch, grill kebabs and even rotisserie chicken! The more I use my toaster oven, the more I love cooking with it and the more value it gives me for every dollar I paid.
